As supply and demand go hand-in-hand, there has been a rampant increase in creator-focused laptops that can deliver high-quality content quickly. Now, out of all the creator-oriented laptops, ASUS has gone the way less and recently introduced its ZenBook Duo successors from last year. Dubbed the ZenBook Duo 14 and ZenBook Pro Duo 15, these laptops have not just one but two screens, but in theory helps creators get the most out of their machines. Design and Display of ASUS ZenBook Duo 14

On the surface, ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 looks like a part of most modern laptops and features a sophisticated, luxurious design that blends seamlessly in most workspaces. That said, the company hasn’t changed much about the laptop’s finish compared to last year, and you’ll still find the brand’s signature engraving on the lid comprised of a series of concentric circles. Correspondingly, with the lid closed, it can be difficult to discern one model from another, at least from a distance. Thankfully, ASUS hit head first with its first ZenBook Duo aesthetics and, respectively, I don’t hesitate to have the company recycle a similar chassis this year.

In terms of unit size, the ZenBook Duo 14 is considerably more sized than most competing models and measures about 1.6 kg. Thankfully, the laptop is quite sturdy and despite having two screens and a host of mechanical components, the device still passes MIL-STD 810H certification, ensuring the laptop will stand up to its own. space.

So why do you need a laptop with two monitors? I’m glad you asked. You see, the ZenBook Duo 14’s secondary display is not just a mass touchscreen control panel, but instead, is packed with a wealth of gadgets that are sure to benefit content creators. First, the sheer size of the secondary monitor allows the user to run an app on two monitors, thus significantly increasing the viewing area. You can also choose to dedicate the home screen to your important apps and deploy other apps on the secondary display. For example, when reviewing the POCO X3 Pro, I saw the handset’s core specifications outlined on the Chrome tab on the secondary display, where Microsoft Word took up space on the home screen. Obviously, the ScreenPad + ZenBook 14 Duo’s aren’t gimmicks and will definitely enhance the user’s computing experience. Unfortunately, as was the case with last year’s model, the ZenBook Duo 14’s design also comes with reasonable compromises. For the secondary display, ASUS had to reposition the laptop’s keyboard and touchpad. So, even when using the laptop’s ErgoLift hinge (which can tilt the keyboard at an angle), typing on the ZenBook Duo 14 is – for lack of a better word – to say the least. First, the company doesn’t include a wrist rest with the 14-inch model, and even if you buy one from a third-party retailer, you’ll still need to place the laptop on a desk or flat surface to use it. use. all time. I/O, Audio, and Biometrics

Interestingly, thanks to the laptop’s ErgoLift hinge, the sound emitted from ZenBook Duo 14 is significantly richer than competing products with down-facing speakers. In terms of specs, my review unit of ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 is equipped with the Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, one of the more popular Tiger Lake products from the silicon giant.
